Irish Hip Fracture Database & Major Trauma Audit Manager
Louise is the Irish Hip Fracture Database and Major Trauma Audit manager for NOCA. She is an orthopaedic nurse specialist by background. She has a BSc, MSc, as well as qualifications in Nurse medication prescribing, Nurse prescribing of Ionising Radiation, Diploma in Leadership and Quality Improvement in Healthcare, Diploma in Data analytics and is currently undertaking a PhD in RCSI.
Louise has worked with the Irish Hip Fracture Database since its inception and has been instrumental for implementing the best practice tariff for hip fracture. She contributes many publications each year to peer reviewed journals about the care of hip fracture and trauma patients as well as delivering platform and keynote presentations all around the world.
She has a unique role internationally that facilitates collaboration on a global scale. As the most recent General Secretary of the Fragility Fracture Network and the Chair of the International Collaboration of Orthopaedic Nursing (up to October 2022), Louise has a cultivated a global network of contacts working in the area of trauma which will be of great value to the study.
