
Professor Jan Sorensen

Professor Sorensen has more than 25-years experience with health economics and health services research documented by research publications on a wide range of topics related to health care provision and organisation including medical and surgical treatments, rehabilitation, palliation and prevention. He has extensive practical experience with a wide range of research methodologies including quantitative research methodologies based on randomised clinical trials, cohort studies and registry studies, and qualitative research methods using data from individual and focus-group interviews, and systematic literature reviews as primary designs.
Professor Sorensen has a successful track record of attracting external research from Danish and international funding including EU-research funds. Member of the Norwegian Research Council (2009-2015), review panels for EU research programs, WHO expert groups, Danish research groups, and boards of Danish research centres.
