Professor Conor Deasy

Professor Conor Deasy works as Clinical Lead and Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Cork University Hospital and as the Clinical Lead for the Major Trauma Audit in the National Office of Clinical Audit. He has demonstrated clear skills for capacity-building; supporting medical, nursing and allied health staff in emergency care delivery; enhancing governance; addressing recruitment and retention of Emergency Medicine doctors; and role modelling dynamism and authentic leadership.

He has built constructive, productive and trusting relationships with key stakeholders across the hospital and broader healthcare system through his reliability and integrity. He has continued to underpin his clinical practice with reference to contemporaneous research. He has developed an international profile as a researcher and educator, a co-editor of a definitive emergency medicine textbook, and as an invited speaker at a number of international conferences including the International Conference in Emergency Medicine (ICEM) on five occasions.
